Software Engineers
Summary:
Software engineers are responsible for developing effective information technology solutions for the business by creating new or enhancing or maintaining existing web-based applications. Applies fundamental concepts of software program/application development methodology in a team environment. Determines appropriate programming solutions from business and functional requirements and technical specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Performs product design, systems analysis, and programming activities, which may require some research and analysis; assists in designing, implementing and maintaining a single product module/sub-system; assists in the preparation of technical documentation of sub-systems.
2. Performs unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
3. Follows established programming guidelines; executes tests procedures according to test plan; follows scheduled plan and identifies problems; writes module level implementation and test specifications; tracks key activities.
4. Performs bug verification, release testing and support for assigned products.
5. Participates in product deploys.
6. Interacts with cross functional teams on a regular basis-Product, Customer Support, QA etc.
Qualifications:
1. BS in Computer Science or related field (work experience will be considered).
2. Ability to work with cross functional departments
3. Experience with software development methodologies, design, and implementation
4. Research and analysis, project planning and implementation skills
5. Understanding of SDLC, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance
6. Solid analytical skills/work experience
7. Strong communication skills
8. Ability to work in a team environment
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and changing priorities
10. Knowledge of object oriented analysis, design, and programming languages
11. Experience with C#, ASP.net, SQL Server 2000/2005, VisualStudio 2005, AJAX, Web Services, CSS, etc.
